China Europe International Trade Digital Expo kicks off on October 28th, it’s hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade（CCPIT）and organized by China Chamber of International Commerce and China Association of Trade in Services.
The exhibition is an action to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Europe and to further deepen and strengthen China-Europe relations. It is also a practical measure to face up to the challenge of COVID-19 pandemic and promote the high-quality development of China-Eu economic and trade cooperation. The 10-day exhibition aims to build an online platform for by using “CCPIT Exhibition Cloud Platform” to help enterprises find cooperation opportunities and explore the international market.
Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, Nicolas Chapuis, Ambassador of the EU Delegation in China, Liu Xiaoliu, Vice Major of Chengdu Municipal People‘s Government and Luigi Gambardella, President of China-EU attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Over 300 representatives from the National Trade Promotion System, exhibition group, Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs, and representatives from related institutions, enterprises and media participated online.
Mr. Chen Jian’an noted that economic globalization is facing headwinds. protectionism and unilateralism are on the rise. This year, the global economy has been hit by the new pneumonia epidemic, and international trade and investment have contracted sharply. Only by adhering to the road of unity and cooperation can we jointly meet international risks and challenges and achieve common prosperity and development. CCPIT will continue to work hand in hand with all parties to build a better platform, provide better services and create more convenience for Chinese and European enterprises to conduct trade and investment activities.
More than 1,200 enterprises from 25 provinces, regions and cities including Liaoning, Hebei and Shanxi, etc took part in the exhibition, which covers trade in medical devices, building materials and hardware, office supplies, furniture and furniture, gifts, consumer electronics, household appliances, textiles and clothing, food and others, as well as trade in services such as creative industries and technical services, and special “epidemic prevention materials exhibition area”. More than 12,000 buyers from over 40 European countries, such as Norway, Sweden, UK, Germany, Italy, Poland, Russia, etc have registered to visit. This show will achieve real stay at home through the network for on-line trade exchanges and expand the future market cooperation.
China-CEEC Economic and Trade Digital Fair & Chengdu Digital Fair hold after the opening ceremony. Mr. Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of CCPIT attended and gave a speech. He said the economic advantages of China and CEE countries are complementary, the economic and trade cooperation mechanism is improving, and the space and potential for cooperation are expanding. At the theme Forum, representatives from government departments, business associations and enterprises from China and CEE countries gathered together to discuss how to strengthen China-Europe cooperation in the post-pandemic era, in the form of online-to-offline integration, conduct extensive exchanges and put forward practical suggestions.
